We Believe
The Bible is true
It is God’s Word, and tells us the true Story of how God is rescuing the World and bringing His Kingdom. We can trust the Bible.
“Scripture cannot be broken” John 10:35
Man is sinful
The Bible teaches us that people are born separated from God and unable to come to God on their own.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23
Our only hope is Jesus.
God sent his own Son into the world to save us from our sin and brokenness.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
We are saved by grace, through faith in Jesus.
Leaving behind our sin and brokenness is not something we can do through effort. Nothing we can do is good enough to save us from our sin. We are spiritually dead in sins, and we must trust Jesus to save us and free us from sin.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8
Faith in Jesus changes us.
We cannot change ourselves, but giving our whole lives to Jesus opens our hearts to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and makes us able to live lives that please God.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Church is God’s plan to save the world.
Jesus changes our hearts, but following him isn’t something to do alone. We need other believers around us to help us live like Jesus every day. This is why the Church is so important. It is God’s plan for setting up his kingdom and rescuing creation!
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another...” Hebrews 10:24-25
So that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:10
